MY OTHER HATS
I am available for book signings and author talks about my books, the animals, and saving the forests, or for writing workshops for adults or children. My sessions are interactive, educational, and engaging. Go to the School and library page to see more.

I not only love writing books, I love helping other authors achieve their dream of becoming a published author, and inspiring and teaching children to write and draw through Gondor Writers' Centre www.gondorwriterscentre.com
In my ‘spare time’, for Australian Literary Festivals and Book Fairs and in collaboration with Creative Net Speaker’s Agency, I organise school and library literary festivals with many of Australia’s popular authors as presenters. If you are interested in hosting a festival at your school or library, contact me at email@example.com for full details or go to the website to find out more. http://austlitfest.com
Here's a bit of educational fun for the kids.
This is the reading of Dippy The Dancing Diprotodon by Lauren and Anthony of Story Surprise.
This is the same people signing a song they wrote about the Megafauna and doing a craft project.
The launch of Barben's Magic Quest.
Thank you for dropping by. I’m Elaine Ouston. I have many published books. They include four chapter books: Lost in a Strange Land, the first book in the Bush Tails series, The Bunyip in the Billabong and the second book in the series that has two short stories, A Close Call and Jake to the Rescue.
The latest chapter book, Fearless Friends - Graffiti Fighters has the theme of respecting other people's property.
A picture book called The Lost Shoes is available for both girls and boys, with different illustrations for each.
Two books in the middle grade fantasy series, The Mystery of Nida Valley that contain Australian megafauna have been released and I am working on the third. I am passionate about teaching children about the little-known megafauna of Australia. The non-fiction book, Meet The Megafauna is now available. Dippy the Dancing Diprotodon is the first book in a series of picture books that will feature two of the animals interacting as they would have in the wild. This one features the marsupial lion and the diprotodon.
The first book in my new series, Barben's Magic Quest, has a theme of saving the forests of the world. More books in this series will follow. Check out the trailer video below and watch the lovely Aleesah Darlison launch the book at Coolum Library. And the reading of Dippy The Dancing Diprotodon by Lauren and Anthony of Story Surprise.
